Shoden: First Teachings

Shodan Kanji symbol

Register for Shoden training

In Shoden, meaning First Stage or First Teachings, a foundation is created for becoming an energetic practitioner by becoming proficient at nurturing yourself. Learn what Reiki is, the history of Usui Reiki Ryoho and integration of the practice of Usui Reiki Ryoho into your everyday life.
You will receive attunements to Shoden level.
You will experience techniques of grounding, centering and clearing to aid you in maintaining a state of mental clarity, physical ease, and a harmonized energy.
Hand positions for self-treatment and treatment of others will be studied in detail.
Focus and time are placed on the practice of self-empowerment, self-healing, self-treatment and treatment of others.

Okuden: Inner Teachings

In Okuden, meaning Second Stage or Inner Teachings, you will learn (to draw the symbols, their meaning and the associated jumon or mantra) and be attuned to the three symbols

which accelerate personal development, develop your intuition, enhance mental and emotional healing, and enable you to access and focus Reiki more powerfully. You also learn and experience how to direct healing to anyone or any situation, anywhere in the world – even sending healing intent to past or future events.

This level is said to be four times stronger than Shoden level. You will receive guidelines to become a skilled and compassionate practitioner, as well as tips on building and marketing a formal Reiki healing practice.

Again, focus and time are placed on the practice of self-empowerment, self-healing, self-treatment and treatment of others.

Shipiden: Apprenticeship

In Shinpiden, meaning Mystery Teachings, you strengthen your commitment to your practice, enhance your healing abilities and sensitivity to subtle energies and accelerate your spiritual growth. The books (6) that are to be read, discussed and written about will cause you to deepen and broaden your understanding of who you are and your relationship(s) with your environment(s). Techniques are taught to increase and harmonize your energies, and to administer attunements that create deeper healing experiences for yourself and your students. Includes the Tibetan/Usui Master attunement with additional Tibetan symbols and hand positions. You will become proficient at giving Reiki attunements to level Shoden, Okuden and Shipiden students. Guidelines will be provided for leading private and group training and you receive hands-on experience and guidance by attending and assisting with training courses. As apprenticeship concludes, you will have evolved spiritually and mentally into a competent, compassionate, and confident Shinpiden practitioner and teacher of Usui Reiki Ryôhô.
