Edward graduated from the Rocky Mountain Academy of Therapeutic Massage with Distinction in March 1996. His work since then has included a year working in a very active Chiropractic Clinic in downtown Calgary, working (2 years) with the Canadian National Biathlon team in Canmore, a 10 day intensive as one of two massage therapists to the NBA Vancouver Grizzlies at their fall training camp, as a massage therapist at the 1997 World Police Fire Games in Calgary, and operating his own clinic in a busy fitness centre in SW Calgary.
A promise to himself in 1988 was part of the reason he undertook the journey from Calgary to Nova Scotia in 2003, eventually settling on a small farm in Newcombville, a short 8 km drive from downtown Bridgewater, NS.
During his journey as a massage therapist, Edward has continually upgraded his skills with courses in sports massage, geriatric massage, deep tissue massage, cupping massage, muscle energy techniques, Myofascial Release, Hot/Cold Stone Massage, Reflexology, Physio-Emotional Release Techniques, Quantum Touch, and Usui Reiki Ryoho, among others.
Usui Reiki Ryoho so interested Edward that he continued his training to receive the Master Teacher certification in October 2001, and has been teaching ever since.
The intuitive blending of these various healing techniques during treatment allows Edward to offer a unique perspective of the healing journey to his clients.
Edward also enjoys time with his wife and business partner Mary, their dogs, cats and chickens, gardening, beekeeping and living as sustainably as possible.
“Talk doesn’t get things done, it’s only when action is put to ones’ thoughts and words that manifestation of ones’ desires can be achieved” ~ Edward Howell
